Happy Seeds: An Early Learning Program

It all started when…

A therapist, wellness coach, and marketing professional realized they all cared deeply for the wellbeing of children. They came together to develop an early learning program focused on supporting the emotional, physical, and creative wellbeing of children while incorporating principles of sustainability.

The vision: A loving future for all by empowering and equipping every child to cultivate optimal wellbeing through tangible strategies within the contexts of their individual, community, and global lives.

The objectives: Teach wellness principles, Introduce Sustainable habits, Engage family and community.

The Program

When does it take place? For now, we fill the gap when school is out, but childcare camps and daycare programs are also taking a break. This usually happens towards the end of Spring, Summer, and Winter Breaks.

Where does it happen? We host our children at the East Atlanta Kids Club, whose leaders have graciously lent their space. Children do not have to be residents of a particular county, they just need transportation to the Club.

What are the children doing there? Between 8:30am-5pm, children receive plant-based breakfast, lunch, and snacks, along with interactive wellbeing programming throughout the day, and have some supervised free time sprinkled in. The programming is facilitated by professional instructors. Parents will be given a summary of activities before the program starts. See our spring break session’s impact summary.

What is the cost? We seek to provide this to children at zero cost. We are funded by donations, company sponsorships, and by committing our own money. If you are interested in supporting, you can donate to us on Venmo @happyseeds. We have submitted our articles of incorporation and will established as a nonprofit by EOY.

How do I sign up? Registration is currently open for the end of Summer Session on July 24th and July 25th, 2023. please sign up here by July 15th.

How can I support? Spread the word! Or donate to help us pay for materials and facilitators via Venmo @happyseeds.
